Unless you’re travelling in business class (or even first), the airplane food is unlikely to be the most memorable part of your trip. That is, unless, it was so awful that you couldn’t actually eat it and found yourself starving for the duration of your flight.
There is definitely something cute about a traditional airline meal with a starter, main course, and dessert all served on a little tray. But, unfortunately, adorability doesn’t always make up for taste. In fact, airplane food is somewhat of a running joke, with dozens of people sharing photos of their less-than-appetizing meals on social media.
Depending on how long your flight is, you could be left feeling hungry sooner rather than later.
Sure, you could brave the “chicken or beef” option, but if you prefer to eat something tried and tested, bring along a cup noodle. It should be the kind that has its own container and to which you only need to add boiling water. When the flight attendant offers tea and coffee, ask them to pour some hot water into your noodles and you’ll be chowing down in no time.
This trick also works if you tend to get hungry between meals.
