This Salmon Burger is a Nutritious Yet Delicious Meal

Do you love the taste of a juicy burger for dinner but feel like maintaining a healthier diet? In that case, make a switch to salmon. Here is a salmon burger that will prove to be a nutritious yet delicious meal, filled with those vital Omega-3s.

Ingredients:

  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 scallions
  • 2 cups broccoli
  • 2 Persian cucumbers
  • 3 tablespoons chopped dill
  • 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 4 brioche buns
  • 8 lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. Beat an egg in a medium bowl and add salmon, scallions, and 2 tablespoons each of dill and parsley. Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
  2. Place a large skillet on medium heat and add oil. Put the salmon into the skillet and form burger patties. Cook for 2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Combine yoghurt, lemon zest and the remaining dill and parsley in a bowl. Add 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and pepper.
  4. Once the patties are ready, spread the yoghurt sauce evenly across the bottom buns. Top with salmon patties, lettuce, cucumber, and sprouts before adding the top bun.
