Make Your Own Disinfectant Wipes in Just 3 Steps

If living through a pandemic taught us anything, it’s that it’s really important to keep surfaces clean.

Hand sanitizer has probably been the most popular item over the last 3 years, with disinfectant wipes a close second.

Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on wipes that you will then throw away, did you know that you can make your own? Better for your pocket and the environment!

Step #1

Take an air-tight container like a glass jar with a resealable lid. Fill the container with 1 cup of vinegar, 1 cup of water, half a cup of either vodka or rubbing alcohol, and a few squeezes of lemon. Mix it well.

Step #2

Grab some small microfiber cloths and line them up on a flat surface next to each other. You want to lay one side of the cloth over the cloth next to it. Roll them like you would a Swiss roll.

Step #3

Place the rolled-up cloths into the mixture and allow them to soak slightly before closing the container. Make sure all the liquid is absorbed. Then, when needed, pull out one of the disinfectant cloths to clean whatever you need. When you’re done, the cloths can be washed and used to repeat the process.
