Feeling Peckish? Keep This Trail Mix on Hand

Life is busy and that usually leaves little time to eat a proper meal. Thank goodness for snacks! If you need a pick-me-up that will tide you over till your next meal, this trail mix is it.


  • ¼ cup whole shelled almonds
  • ¼ cup dry-roasted peanuts
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup pitted dates, chopped
  • 2 ounces dried apricots or other dried fruit


  1. Toss all the ingredients into a bowl and separate into individual portions which you can package.
  2. For extra flavor, it is possible to roast the almonds.
  3. It is also possible to chop the dried fruit, if desired.
