These Stars Brought a Pop of Color to the 2023 Oscars Carpet

Before finding out the big winners of the night, celebrities get to flaunt their outfits on the red carpet that precedes the awards ceremony. This year’s Academy Awards were a little different, however, as there actually wasn’t a red carpet at all. Instead, the famous walkway was champagne.

The absence of the dazzling hue could have foreshadowed a dull evening, but instead the stars themselves made up for it by wearing bright colors on the carpet.

Stephanie Hsu

Everything Everywhere All At Once was the champion of the 2023 Oscars and a large part of that was Stephanie Hsu. The Supporting Actress nominee could be seen cheering in her shocking pink Valentino gown every time the film won an award.

Kerry Condon

The Banshees of Inisherin had a color palette that matched the bleak tone of the movie, but Kerry Condon was having none of that at the Oscars. The star donned a yellow gown from Versace that reminded us of sunshine.

Angela Bassett

Angela Bassett played the queen of Wakanda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and she certainly embodies regalness in this Moschino dress. Even the actress remarked that violet is the color of royalty.

Halle Bailey

Halle Bailey is set to hit screens in the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, with the 22-year-old already feeling under the sea with her outfit. The tulle gown from Dolce and Gabanna lies somewhere between light blue and aquamarine.

Cara Delevigne

Who would possibly miss the red carpet with Cara Delevigne slaying in this crimson number by Elie Saab? If there is anyone who could pull off this color and thigh-high slit at the same time, it’s the Carnival Row star.
