For the first time ever a luxury hotel brand will be taking their style to the high seas. Ritz-Carlton has announced plans to enter the luxury cruise market. They are calling it The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. There will be three yachts with 149 suites with private balconies.
The suites will not conform to the standard cruise room size. They will be spacious and luxurious. The boats will also be available for private charters.
Herve Humler, president of the Ritz-Carlton company spoke to Town and Country about the plan.
“We will be one of the smallest, ultra-luxury cruise ships in the market…and we’re hoping to attract those who wouldn’t consider a mainstream cruise, but would entertain a highly-curated yacht style experience,” Humler said.
“Through collaborations with local chefs, musicians, and artists, guests will get to experience the locations in unique and experiential ways, both onboard and ashore.”
Reservations will open in May of 2018.
