Sadly enough, Mulan’s remake won’t have any songs. Interviewed by Moviefone, Niki Caro, the director of Mulan’s remake, revealed that the film won’t include any of the songs that appeared in the animated classic. Caro said: “From what I understand, no songs right now, much to the horror of my children.”
It’s a bit curious that she said that at the same time that the live-action Beauty and the Beast is at the cinema at it has been smashing the box office. But don’t panic: despite the Mulan remake will not have songs from the original, it may include new ones.
Especially an interesting core theme. Caro added: “It’s a big, girly martial arts epic. It will be extremely muscular and thrilling and entertaining and moving.”
