After 11 years and two sons together, Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber have split up. The couple hooked up in 2005, after Naomi broke up with her ex, the late Heath Ledger, and their sons were born in 2007 and 2008. Despite never marrying, Liev occasionally referred to Naomi as his wife, and although Live had given Naomi a ring neither of the two felt it necessary to walk down the aisle.
After giving birth to two sons, Naomi mused that she would like to try for a third, but only if she could be guaranteed a girl. As she felt that the chances of this happening were slim, their family became complete with four souls, and the couple seemed to be happy. Over the years that they were together, the couple admitted to having regular marital problems, like everyone else. However, last year that seemed to change. The couple worked together on the movie The Bleeder, playing husband and wife, and this seems to have been the beginning of the end. Rumors began swirling that the couple never spoke on set and that Liev had cheated on Naomi. However, these seem to be unfounded, and it would appear that the couple just drifted apart.
After separating the couple announced that they remain on the best of terms and will continue to co-parent their children, who are their main concern.
We can only wish them the best of luck.
