George Clooney made a very sweet gesture. The star stopped by the Sunrise of Sonning Retirement and Assisted Living Facility in Reading, UK, to wish a very special fan named Pat Adams a happy 87th birthday.
He ended up in the retirement home because he and his wife bought a house in a town nearby. The old woman, who has a huge crush on the actor, was hoping to get a visit from him for her birthday. So the staff at the facility sent the star a letter to see if he would be interested to come.
Despite the letter, they were all extremely surprised when Clooney actually showed up. Following, a thank you letter after the meeting:
“Malcolm Hague, divisional support general manager at Sunrise of Sonning, said: “We are so delighted that Pat’s wish came true.
“She was absolutely thrilled to meet her great icon, and it was such a lovely surprise to see George greet her with flowers and a card.
“This was a classy gesture from a wonderful man, and it has brought smiles to everyone at Sunrise of Sonning. Huge thank you to George.”
