Everyone loves a good viral video. Nowadays, it seems like the most random acts can go viral. From feel good stories of people doing good deeds to funny vines of people dancing next to an animated green alien- creature, the internet and its audience love to watch the newest viral videos. One of the more recent videos to make its way around social media is the video of Mason Ramsey, an 11 year old from Illinois who has become internet sensation after a video of him yodeling in Wal-Mart was posted.
In the clip, you can see him singing “Lovesick Blues” by Hank Williams. Like many of the adorable kids who acquire so much online recognition through the sharing of their original videos, Mason ended up being invited to be a guest on the Ellen Show.
Mason, who describes himself as a country boy, claims to have yodeled at Walmart over “like 50,000 times.” because according to him, that’s the only store they’ve got.
Ellen asked Mason what he would do if he succeeded in becoming a famous country singer, to which he responded, “Well, I’m going to save up all that money, and I’m going to go to college, and then I’m going to move to Florida and I’m going to work my way up in a motorhome.”. After he explained his dream to Ellen and the crowd, she announced that he would not only be performing a huge concert at his Was-Mart, but that he will also be performing at the Grand Ole Opry.
Along with this, he received $15,000 towards a college scholarship that he seemed very excited about.
