Sabrina Carpenter is suddenly everywhere thanks to her viral hit “Espresso”, which is one of the strongest candidates for the song of the summer. She’s been making music for years before climbing up the charts with this catchy bop, and here are five of her songs with a similar vibe.

“Nonsense”

If you like the silly lyrics of “Espresso” and want to listen to a bubblegum pop song where Carpenter doesn’t shy away from making fun of herself, it doesn’t get better than “Nonsense”.

“Feather”

Carpenter stirred quite a commotion with “Feather” last year, and this was her highest-charting song before “Espresso” hit the shelves.

“Fast Times”

Carpenter rose to prominence as a Disney star but entered a more mature phase of her career with Emails I Can’t Send, which gave us the pop-dance song “Fast Times”.

“Because I Liked a Boy”

Despite not being released as one of the singles from Emails I Can’t Send, “Because I Liked a Boy” became of one of its biggest hits due to its connection to Carpenter’s romantic history.

“Thumbs”

If you’re in the mood to explore Carpenter’s music from her Disney days, “Thumbs” is definitely one of her biggest early hits.

Reality TV often gets a bad rap for its dramatic, sometimes over-the-top entertainment, but it’s not all just guilty pleasure viewing. Beyond the surface, there are valuable lessons to be gleaned from these popular shows. Still not sure? Let’s take a look.

Teamwork is King

Reality shows like Survivor and The Amazing Race put contestants in high-stress situations where teamwork is crucial to success. These programs teach us the importance of cooperation when conflicts come up. As we observe contestants, we can also take note of what works for them and apply it to our lives.

Understanding Human Behavior

Reality TV offers a front-row seat to the complexities of human behavior and social dynamics. Shows like Big Brother, where diverse individuals live together under constant surveillance, reveal how people navigate social interactions. These shows can teach us about human psychology in various contexts, including alliance-building and competition, helping us understand others better.

Thinking on Your Feet

From surprise challenges on cooking shows to on-the-fly negotiations in renovation programs, reality TV throws a lot of curveballs at its cast.  Seeing contestants adapt and think creatively under pressure can be a valuable lesson in resourcefulness. These shows demonstrate the importance of staying calm and assessing the situation quickly.

If you’re going through a breakup, or just feel like crying on your way to work, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered with some of the most iconic breakup songs, some of which you may have forgotten about. Whether you’re single or about to be, these songs will definitely strike a chord with you.

“Breakeven”: The Script

The Script’s breakout hit “Breakeven” managed to break hearts that weren’t even broken. This is just one of many sad songs the band has produced about breakups, but this one seems to stick because the saying is true: “When a heart breaks it doesn’t break even.”

“The Night We Met”: Lord Huron

Huron’s love song is hauntingly beautiful, whimsical, and melodic, bringing back memories we may not have known we had. It’s reminiscent of a lost love, the memories we cherish, and the desire to go back in time.

“Ceilings”: Lizzie McAlpine

The lyrics are simple and the message is straightforward, and yet this song still leaves you breathless long after it’s over. Perhaps it is McAlpine’s melancholic vocals that make the song transcendent. Either way, you’ll be reaching for the tissue box.

“Apologize”: One Republic

This song takes us back to the early 2000s and yet still feels timeless. The band’s prolific sound is like no other in this track, evoking feelings of betrayal and regret. The violin solo really hits differently too.

“You Found Me”: The Frey

This song cuts deep, and really evokes the emotions of feeling all alone, and yelling “Where were you when everything was falling apart?!” This song was beyond its time and is the perfect song to cry to in the car.

Ever find yourself scrolling endlessly, looking for something to watch that’s just easy and fun? Well, here’s a list of classic TV shows that are the perfect remedy for those laughter cravings. These shows are like comfort food for your soul, timeless in their humor, and always there to lift your spirits.

Friends

There’s a reason Friends remains a go-to comfort show. The antics of Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe are endlessly relatable and amusing. Whether it’s Ross’ leather pants fiasco or Chandler’s awkward encounters, this show never fails to deliver.

The Office (U.S.)

The Dunder Mifflin crew offers a humor-filled escape with their quirky and often cringe-worthy office dynamics. Michael Scott’s managerial mishaps, Dwight’s bizarre antics, and Jim’s pranks on Dwight are just some of the moments that make this show a treasure trove of comedy.

Parks and Recreation

The endlessly optimistic Leslie Knope and her Pawnee colleagues bring a unique blend of humor and heart. The show’s clever writing shines through in episodes like “Treat Yo’ Self” and “The Comeback Kid”, making it a classic.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

This cop-comedy balances humor with action seamlessly. The chemistry among the squad, particularly Jake and Captain Holt, provides constant entertainment. Not to mention, the Halloween heist episodes are comedic gold.

We can count on Hollywood’s leading studios to drop new trailers just in time for the Super Bowl, and they’ve certainly delivered this year. Promo clips for some of the year’s most exciting new films were released during the Big Game, and we’re bringing you five of the very best.

Deadpool & Wolverine

Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool is finally entering the MCU, and he’s bringing out the big guns! Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will also join him on this epic adventure.

Wicked

The beloved Broadway classic is finally getting its long-awaited Hollywood reimagining, with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in the lead roles.

Twisters

The disaster movie Twister is coming back for another round, and it centers on Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell, who play a pair of storm chasers risking their lives in an attempt to tame the power of a tornado.

The Fall Guy

Ryan Gosling plays a battle-scarred stuntman trying to save the star of a new action movie directed by his ex in The Fall Guy, and its Super Bowl ad claims this film has “everything” you could possibly wish for.

Despicable Me 4

The first trailer for Despicable Me 4 hit the shelves two weeks before the Super Bowl, and its Big Game ad did a great job poking fun at AI-generated content.

In an age where TV shows come and go in the blink of an eye, Friends stands out as a remarkable exception. This sitcom juggernaut of the ’90s not only defined a generation but continues to resonate with viewers today. What is it about this show that keeps it fresh and relevant, even as it ages?

Timeless and Relatable

At its core, Friends is about the trials and tribulations of six friends navigating life in their 20s and 30s. The show addresses universal themes like love, career challenges, and friendship—experiences that almost every viewer can relate to. Plus, the characters, with their distinct personalities and quirks, reflect different aspects of our own personalities and those of people we know.

Humor That Transcends Time

The humor in Friends is another reason for its lasting relevance. Unlike some other shows of its time, Friends avoided leaning heavily on pop culture references, which can date a show. Instead, its humor comes from everyday situations and the dynamic between characters, making it timeless.

The Power of Nostalgia

Finally, nostalgia plays a significant role in the show’s continued popularity. For those who watched it when it first aired, Friends brings back memories of the ’90s and early 2000s. For newer audiences, it’s a glimpse into life during those decades, along with the comfort of a simpler time before smartphones and social media.
