Your Skin Needs Extra TLC While Flying

Skincare is important, even while 30,000 feet in the air. Especially while 30,000 feet in the air! Being on a plane, particularly for a long flight, can leave your skin feeling less than lovely. Here are three tips to protect it while up in the air.

Cleanse

It’s not often that you’re in an enclosed metal tin with dozens of strangers, but that’s basically what flying is. COVID-19 reminded us how easily bacteria can spread, so cleanse your face once onboard using a product that will balance your skin’s pH levels. Cleansing after disembarking is also a good idea.

Moisturize

In order to keep the air in the plane clean (enclosed metal tin, remember?) ventilation is constantly operating during the flight. This can leave your skin feeling super dry, so help it out with a hydrating serum and good moisturizer. Hyaluronic acid is an excellent ingredient to look for.

Hydrate

Our bodies lose eight ounces of water per hour during a flight, so be sure to replenish the stocks by drinking! Your skin (and every other organ) will thank you for it. Alcohol and salty foods can dehydrate you, so give them a miss if possible.
