The live-action adaptation of Wicked was a long time coming—and it was worth the wait! It was met with rave reviews and impressive box office numbers, and we’re celebrating its release by looking back at some of the most memorable red carpet looks its stars delivered while promoting this musical.
Sydney Premiere
Ariana Grande kicked off the promo tour in a pink Vivienne Westwood gown that looked straight out of The Wizard of Oz, while Cynthia Erivo opted for an equally show-stopping black gown by Louis Vuitton.
Los Angeles Premiere
Erivo impressed us with several green looks while promoting Wicked, but none of them compares to her Louis Vuitton look from Los Angeles. As for Grande, she paid another homage to The Wizard of Oz in a pink-and-white gingham Thom Browne dress, which she paired with sparkly pumps.
Mexico City Premiere
Grande’s love affair with the color pink continued in Mexico City, where she impressed us in a light pink Versace gown. Ervo looked like a real-life witch in a hooded, structural black dress by Thom Browne.
London Premiere
Erivo wore another black dress in London, but bronze sequined tights and skirt details added a touch of futuristic magic to her velvet Schiaparelli look. Grande put a stop to her pink craze and surprised us in a dreamy yellow Ralph Lauren gown.
