Glowing skin is more in than ever, with the world embracing “barely there” make-up. The key to the “no make-up make-up” trend is to have a good foundation and that means, well, good foundation! If you want your skin to look flawless yet natural, this is what to do.
Moisture Matters
There’s no way you’ll get a smooth coat of paint if the wall you’re working on is cracking. In short: make sure the canvas (AKA your skin) is clean and moisturized. Apply a hydrating mask that targets your specific skin type, and then gently massage in your moisturizer. Make sure to keep dry skin at bay by exfoliating 1-2 times a week.
Start at the Center
When applying your foundation, begin in the center and work your way outwards to the rest of the face. To keep it natural, apply a light layer and allow your face’s natural features, like your freckles, to shine through!
On the Bounce
There are many ways to apply foundation, from brushes to blenders and even fingers. Regardless of what tool you choose, it’s important to have the right technique. Avoid “painting on” the make-up as this can cause it to appear streaky. Instead, bounce your sponge, or buff if using a brush.
