Mornings can often be stressful. Many people set their alarms 15 minutes before they need to leave the house but a good morning routine is the key to a good day. Here are our top three things you can do to improve your morning routine.
Don’t Look at Your Phone
Reaching for your phone to scroll through social media apps is part of everyone’s morning. However, looking at your phone first thing in the morning can not only mentally impact your day but seeing what others are doing might set the wrong tone for your day. Cell phones also emit blue light which can harm your brain when you wake up. So not looking at your phone for the first hour of your day will help you start your day with a clear head.
Drink Water
An average person sleeps around seven to eight hours a night, so we basically just fasted for eight hours. One way to help wake you up is having a glass of water next to your bed is a great way to kick-start your day and your metabolism.
Setting Intentions
Living in this day and age where everything is so fast-paced, a great way to start your day is by carving out 10 minutes in the morning to reflect and set intentions for your day. In a spare notebook or pad, write down a list of things you want to be done that day, whether for work or pleasure. This is a great way to visually see what your tasks are that day. Still, it also allows you to visually see how productive you are- which we guarantee will put you in a good mood.
