3 Ways to Make a Bad Cup of Coffee a Bit Better

A bad cup of joe is the bane of every coffee lover’s existence. We trust that you’ll agree with us when we say that life is too short to drink a bad brew. You may not have time to start the process from scratch if you’re in a rush, but these are some methods you can try to salvage that cup.

A Sprinkle or Two

There are some things that you can add to your coffee grounds to perk them up a bit (if you’ll pardon the pun). Sprinkling some salt may sound bizarre, but doing so actually helps to cut the acidity in the grounds and bring out their natural sweetness. If that’s too odd for you, try it with cinnamon, nutmeg, or cardamom.

Milk It For All It’s Worth

Topping your coffee with a bit of froth is a sure fire way to make it feel a little fancier. Don’t get yourself into a froth if you don’t have a milk frother. You can create foam by warming some milk, placing it in a jar or any resealable container, and shaking as hard as you can.

Chocolate to the Rescue

If all else fails, just add some chocolate to your coffee. You can make your own mocha using hot chocolate powder or by melting in a piece of good quality dark chocolate.
