The 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy has been one of the most popular and, well, awakening novels of this past decade. The final movie has finally been released, and with that, fans have been excitedly invading theaters all over the country. Some women honored their love for the trilogy by purchasing multiple movie tickets or hosting 50 Shades themed viewing parties.
One fan, however, expressed her love for the raunchy film release by incorporating lines from the novel into her Tinder usage. She used phrases such as “my inner goddess is thrilled”, “I’m fifty shades of fucked up”, “My anxiety level has shot up several magnitudes on the Richter scale, “all my worst fears packaged neatly into one sentence no exorcised”, and many more. To all of these messages, she received different responses.
Most of the responses were from men who honestly, had absolutely no idea what was going on. Some played along with it, possibly not knowing the context, but knowing quite well that the woman on the other end of the chat was not serious about looking for dates on the app. SOme men completely loved the idea of being told that they were causing someone’s inner goddess to be excited.
It’s safe to assume that those men are also the ones whose profiles consist of all shirtless photos of themselves flexing at the gym. As tinder was once used solely for hooking up and getting date, it is now an increasingly common platform for social experiments and funny little stints that somehow make life more entertaining.
