Structured workwear is clearly having a moment. From blazers to trousers, tailored clothing has become one of the biggest fashion trends over the last year—and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, anytime soon. Last year, trousers and blazers took the spotlight with neutral colors, but this year it seems we’re getting a twist.
Trend predictions for the next year indicate we might be seeing a huge increase in the number of pinstripes we see. Pinstripes have gone in and out of style for decades, but it is definitely a classic pattern. Especially when combined with workwear, pinstripes are a great fashion statement. It adds a little flair to a simple outfit, and the striping adds dimension and pattern to the look.
Pinstripes are predicted to be everywhere, on trousers, blazers, and button-down shirts. We might even see a resurgence of pinstripe suit vests, which is truly a blast from the past. We’ve already started seeing pinstripes on the runway, which means it’s only a matter of time before it hits the racks at clothing stores everywhere.
