Living a well-rounded lifestyle is a lot easier said than done. Due to our own pesky human nature, we tend to fall into routines even when they’re not particularly healthy. For instance, when we have no reason to leave our homes, and there are endless distractions keeping us there, we sometimes refrain from leaving the house for days at a time. This isn’t a good mindset to endorse because spending time outdoors should be done at least once a day.
A New Trend
During the COVID-19 pandemic, staying indoors was literally the mantra that was promoted to the entire world. Remote work became incredibly popular. Food delivery services became more common and effective. Streaming services made us feel like movie theaters were from an ancient time period.
Breaking the Habit
While some people didn’t love being cooped up at home and couldn’t wait to get out, others thrived when they stayed at home. If you’re one of those people, we totally feel you—but we still think it’s crucial for you to utilize outdoor time when you get a chance.
In addition to the valuable source of vitamin D that you can get from the sun, there’s something intrinsically natural and wholesome about being outside. It’s good for your health to see the sky, to look at trees, and to see other people that you share the world with. Even if it’s hard, push yourself to make it happen at least once a day. You won’t regret it!
