]]>“I was the girl that used body soap on my face. I used body lotion on my face. And then my best friend and makeup artist, Yolanda, told me, ‘Ciara, you need to work on how you’re taking care of your skin. That is not it. What you’re doing is not it.‘ And she was right,” the Grammy winner says.
Ciara reveals that using actual skincare products was a game-changer for her as she could see the improvement in her skin. She now has her own skincare line called O.A.M. which stands for “on a mission”.
Aside from making sure her skin gets the proper attention it needs (she’s more on the dry side), The Game actress is a big believer in brows.
“I feel like you don’t have a face without eyebrows being right,” Ciara declares
Her go-to product? Got2Be Glue Gel which she applies with a spoolie to keep the hairs in place. “You know how they say ‘secure the bag?’ Secure the brow,” she quips.

]]>Off-screen, however, the actress had to deal with cystic acne growing up and hair that gets oily far quicker than she’d like. In other words, issues that many of us have experienced. So how does the 23-year-old actress combat her skin struggles, especially when her job involves cameras being all up in her business?
“When I’m filming I tend to exfoliate more,” she revealed to Glamour. “I’m wearing so much more makeup, especially on Euphoria. My skin does tend to ‘eat’ makeup, which is weird, so I exfoliate more and make sure I’m drinking more water.”
Because she has combination skin, Sweeney says, “If I don’t exfoliate the dry skin off, then my makeup will sit weird on my face, and my face will break out — I get really bad cystic acne.”
There are certain products that The White Lotus star swears by including Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel, Caudalie VinoClean Deep Cleansing Exfoliator, and Neosporin antibiotic ointment to prevent acne scars.
“I think that for skin care, it’s such a personalized journey. You can never compare yourself to anyone else.”

Before make-up can be applied, it’s important to prep the foundation it will sit on—AKA your skin. “Make sure to do all of your stronger skin treatments (lasers, peels, etc) at least two weeks before your wedding day to allow your skin to heal and purge any impurities or breakouts,” Leah told Poosh. She also recommends not trying out new products or treatments close to the big day in case your skin has a bad reaction.

No one wants to look puffy in pictures (even Diddy let the name go!) Ice is the easiest way to calm down puffiness, but can also cause redness if applied directly to the skin. Keep a bowl of ice cold water and a clean washcloth on hand, or place a jade roller in the fridge ahead of time.
Where There’s Smoke
“We went a bit smoky in the crease and lighter on the lids, with a touch of liquid liner for a classic look,” Leah said of Kourt’s eye make-up. If you’re looking for more drama, Leah is all about mixing lashes. “I love using individual lashes because they’re almost undetectable and make it easy to layer and customize. I cut pieces of a strip lash and layered the pieces throughout.”
Waterproof or Bust
Wedding days are emotional! To avoid your mascara running, make sure to use a waterproof version. Leah goes so far as to suggest that other products should be waterproof too: “Waterproof everything! Mascara, lipstick, and even brows.”
Keep in Touch
The day is long, so keep a touch-up kit on hand to correct any mishaps that may have occurred. “In mine I like to keep pressed powder, lip liner, lip gloss, Q-tips, tissue, blotting papers, toothpicks, mints, and a mascara spoolie,” Leah says.

Hydrated skin is happy skin. “Drinking water is really important,” Kerry declared to Prevention. “It’s about hydration, hydration, hydration!” Eight glasses a day should be your goal.
Serum Situation
Vitamin C and Retinol are the latest MVPs when it comes to the skincare game. “I’m all about a serum. I mean the right serum can multitask in so many ways: hydration, primer, SPF. So that for me is important.”
SPF or Bust
While Vitamin D is a much-needed nutrient, the sun can be incredibly damaging for one’s skin. That’s why a good sun protectant is essential. “SPF is part of my daily ritual,” reveals the 45-year-old. “It’s just really, really important to start to fold it into your routine and not think of SPF as the cherry on the sundae but the sundae itself, right?”
Massage Moment
One of Kerry’s tricks to stunning skin is also one of the most relaxing. Grab a jade roller, a gua sha stone, or just your fingers, and give yourself a facial massage. The star is a fan of such massages because “it really is a way to kind of stimulate the cells in the face and wake up your facial muscles, and get the blood moving.”
