Nuts are rich in various nutrients which make them one of the best snacks around. High in fats, low in carbs, a handful can keep you going for a couple of hours (though you may want more because they taste so good!)
Step #1
If you prefer your nuts to be flavored, you can mix up a seasoning. A sweet and spicy version involves combining sugar, salt, chili powder, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper, and tossing the nuts through. If you prefer something plainer, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle some sea salt.
Step #2
Coat a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray. Lay out the nuts evenly. You want your oven to not be above 300°F as roasting nuts at high temperatures can have a negative effect on the nut fat which is good for your heart.
Step #3
Roast the nuts for around 45 minutes. Stir them once during the process so that each side becomes golden and toasty. Once done, allow the nuts to cool on the baking tray, stirring occasionally.
