If you’re someone who simply loves sweets, and refuses to eradicate them completely from your life, we totally get where you’re coming from. Because while fitness gurus and workout influencers are constantly telling their followers to eat less sugar, the rest of us living on planet earth have a different approach. Instead of getting rid of sweets completely, we merely eat them in moderation. But how much is moderate? How often a week should you be eating sweets?
The first question you need to ask yourself is this: when you eat sweets, how much of it are you eating? If you’re eating a very minor amount, then we believe there’s nothing wrong with doing that two or three times a week. It’s really not very much in the grand scheme of things, especially if you limit it.
But if you allow yourself to binge eat sweets, then our recommendation is a tad different. If you eat a lot at once, then we’d say you should probably only do that once a week. Sweets are generally loaded with sugar, and this can be really bad for you if you do it too much.
Anything in moderation is okay, so just make sure you’re keeping your sugar-intake to a minimum.
