If you’re anything like us, you probably binge-watched Season 4 of Stranger Things as soon as that “new episodes” icon hit Netflix. But with the final season not expected any time soon, we’ve found ourselves dealing with a hole in our lives as big as the Upside Down! If withdrawal has hit you hard, too, here are three shows to help tide you over until we return to Hawkins.
The Umbrella Academy
Superpowers? Great music? Having to save the world? No, it’s not Eleven and her friends, it’s The Umbrella Academy. The Netflix series is based on the comics by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá and follows seven magical kids who were adopted by a gazillionaire and trained to become superheroes. The show starts off with a missing child, much like Stranger Things, and proceeds to go down a supernatural rabbit hole that soon has the whole town involved. You may want to keep a pen and paper handy to keep track of who’s who.
The OA
Seven years after going missing, Prairie Johnson reappears in her little town. Not only is she covered in scars and calling herself the “OA”, the previously blind woman can now see! Questions arise as to how, why, and where she’s been all this time, but she refuses to say. And here you thought Eleven was the only young girl with a mysterious past…
