TikTok Recipes That Dominated 2022

We often turn to TikTok for beauty tricks, but the social media platform has a trend for just about everything—including food. Some were more miss than hit, but there were a couple that made it into our kitchens. Here’s what we ate in 2022.

Cloud Bread

If you decided to forgo carbs this year, you may have jumped onto the cloud bread trend. Made using eggs, sugar, cornstarch, and a touch of food coloring to make it pretty, the result is a bit like a Jigglypuff that tastes like cotton candy.

Salmon Rice Bowl

The salmon rice bowl works for a number of reasons. It is a great way to use up leftovers, the dish is a balanced meal with protein, carbs, and healthy fat, and it tastes like sushi without all the work. So grab your cooked salmon, rice, avocado, soy sauce, sriracha, kewpie mayonnaise, roasted seaweed sheets, and enjoy.

Butter Boards

Bread and butter are one of life’s simple food pleasures, so why wouldn’t we champion an entire board of butter that we can scoop up with crusty bread?! The beauty of the butter board is that you can let your tastebuds run wild by adding everything from chili to honey, to fruit and herbs.
