]]>This song is perfect for those long drives along backroads in the Midwest or the South. Grab a cowboy hat and some sunglasses and be sure to look out for cattle crossing the road! This song is a great way to kick off the trip.
This song is reminiscent of finally making it out of your small town. This is the one to play if you’re planning to take all your savings out. Just remember to pack a toothbrush and your favorite blouse.
Obviously the original version of this song by Tracy Chapman is gold, but we’ve put this remix of the song on our list, because the EDM pop sound is so fitting to blast at sunset while zooming down a highway on the West Coast.
This song makes you feel like you’re driving on the edge of the world and into the sunset. It very much feels like the ending credits of a movie, and that’s why we have added it to your playlist so that you could have a main character moment.

]]>If your part of the crowd who thinks documenting your travels is an obvious thing to do, bear in mind that we’re not talking about sharing a few posts on Instagram. We’re talking about keeping a physical journal where you can write what you’re going through day in and day out. Years from now, you’ll appreciate it more than ever.
But if you’re one of the types who find this idea silly, don’t pretend that you don’t love poring over family photo albums from years past. You may think documenting your trip is stupid now, but you’ll be thanking yourself down the line if you put in the work right now. Your trip might be memorable, but it’ll last even longer if you do this.

]]>First off, there’s the pleasant Weather. Summer brings sunny days and longer daylight hours, making it ideal for outdoor activities, beach trips, and exploring nature.
Not just that, but popular tourist destinations come alive during the summer, offering a bustling and lively atmosphere with various events, festivals, and cultural experiences.
Finally, summer vacations also often align with school breaks, making it easier for families to plan and enjoy quality time together.
As summer is a peak travel season, popular destinations can become crowded, resulting in longer lines, higher prices, and limited availability for accommodations and attractions.
Add to that the increased demand causing travel expenses such as flights, accommodations, and tourist activities tend to be higher during the summer months.
To make matters even worse, some destinations experience scorching temperatures during the summer, which can be uncomfortable for outdoor activities, especially in regions with high humidity.

]]>It’s not often that you’re in an enclosed metal tin with dozens of strangers, but that’s basically what flying is. COVID-19 reminded us how easily bacteria can spread, so cleanse your face once onboard using a product that will balance your skin’s pH levels. Cleansing after disembarking is also a good idea.
In order to keep the air in the plane clean (enclosed metal tin, remember?) ventilation is constantly operating during the flight. This can leave your skin feeling super dry, so help it out with a hydrating serum and good moisturizer. Hyaluronic acid is an excellent ingredient to look for.
Our bodies lose eight ounces of water per hour during a flight, so be sure to replenish the stocks by drinking! Your skin (and every other organ) will thank you for it. Alcohol and salty foods can dehydrate you, so give them a miss if possible.

The City of Light is spoilt with quaint little coffee shops where you can pop in and have a hot chocolate or aperitif. Le Flore en I’lle is where Emily meets her colleague Luc, and we recommend that you stop by and treat yourself to a crêpe.
If you are a fan of art, you must visit the Musée d’Orsay on the left bank of the Seine. With paintings, sculptures, furniture, and photography, this former railway-station-turned-art-museum, houses the largest collection of Impressionist and post-Impressionist masterpieces in the world.

]]>It’s important to have a space that feels like home. Put time and effort into making your new room or apartment into a sanctuary where you can truly relax.
For the first year of life in a new place, always say yes, even to things you wouldn’t normally go for! You never know which opportunities will lead to new friends, new hobbies, a new job or even a new romance.
A great way to feel rooted in a new place is to immerse yourself in the local culture. Take a language course, read books by local authors (in translation if necessary!), go to museums and sample plenty of the local cuisine.
You might feel like you have to tough it out all by yourself, but maintaining connections with loved ones back home is essential. Make time to keep up with your friends and family, and remember you still have a support network, even if they’re a plane ride away!
Be kind to yourself. It takes at least a year to adjust to life in a new country, especially with a new language. Don’t expect to have everything figured out all at once, and just enjoy the journey!

]]>Just like when buying a house, it’s all about location when it comes to choosing your seat. If you’re the type who gets cold easily, avoid seats near the exit rows as cold air tends to leak in. The rows in the front of economy are usually noisier as this is where families with children are typically placed. If you’re hoping to sleep on the flight, a window seat is probably your best bet as you can lean against the wall of the plane.
In order to create an ideal sleep environment, bring some items that help you sleep at home. It can be a blanket or particular scent—anything that helps you unwind and relax. Noise-canceling headphones can also be useful, or just put on a playlist of white noise.
Although alcohol and sleeping tablets seem like they will aid in achieving R&R, it is more likely that they will have adverse effects like a hangover and sleepwalking. Something natural like melatonin works far better. Take 1 milligram 30-60 minutes before you wish to be asleep and then stay awake the entire day after you land. Take another melatonin before going to bed that night.
