]]>Superpowers? Great music? Having to save the world? No, it’s not Eleven and her friends, it’s The Umbrella Academy. The Netflix series is based on the comics by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá and follows seven magical kids who were adopted by a gazillionaire and trained to become superheroes. Think of it as what Stranger Things would be like if all the kids were dysfunctional, bickering siblings.
Super twisty and just a tad confusing, Dark is a German series about time travel. The show starts off with a missing child, much like Stranger Things, and proceeds to go down a supernatural rabbit hole that soon has the whole town involved. You may want to keep a pen and paper handy to keep track of who’s who.
Seven years after going missing, Prairie Johnson reappears in her little town. Not only is she covered in scars and calling herself the “OA”, the previously blind woman can now see! Questions arise as to how, why, and where she’s been all this time, but she refuses to say. And here you thought Eleven was the only young girl with a mysterious past…

]]>Over its six-season run, This Is Us has earned 39 nominations and won four awards, but its glory days are long behind it. The final season of the hit NBC drama only received one nomination this time around, and it wasn’t even in one of the main categories.
Stranger Things was nominated for outstanding drama and received a bunch of technical nods, but the Television Academy gave zero love to its actors—not even Sadie Sink or Millie Bobby Brown!
Gomez received an Emmy nomination for executive producing Only Murders in the Building, while the show itself received a total of 17 nods, but her performance was largely overlooked.
The comedy field at this year’s Emmy’s was quite competitive, but it was still heartbreaking to see that Atlanta, Black-ish, Reservation Dogs, and Better Things walk away without nominations for outstanding comedy series.
Many expected Yellowstone will finally break into the Emmy race this year, but this beloved western and its star Kevin Costner walked away with outstanding zero nominations – despite the fact that the last season attracted 9.3 million viewers.

]]>22 Hawkins citizens died in an “earthquake”, which was caused by Vecna when he opened up the barrier between the Upside Down and Hawkins. Jason Carver was one of them, but it’s difficult to feel sorry for him after he spent an entire season trying to hunt down the members of Hellfire after accusing them of being a murderous cult.
Dr. Brenner was even more hated than Jason, but he’s one of the rare old characters to die in Volume 2. Despite torturing Eleven for the entirety of the series, he still sacrificed his life to help her escape from military men who were trying to capture her.
Eddie Munson was introduced in the final season of Stranger Things and quickly became a fan favorite. As it usually goes with beloved new characters, the writers sacrificed him to keep the main cast alive. He didn’t run away from the fight and spent his final moments helping lure Demobats away from the rest of the gang.
