After years in the making, the release date of Avatar 2 is just around the corner. NYX Cosmetics is celebrating this highly anticipated sequel by dropping a brand-new makeup collection that will make you feel blue and take you straight to Pandora.
Avatar: The Way of Water is hitting the theatres on December 16, and NYX decided to surprise the film’s fans with a brand-new line of makeup products ahead of its release. They even launched a campaign to support The Nature Conservancy, donating from $1 up to $50,000 for social media posts using hashtags #NYXCosmeticsForAvatar, #KeepOurOceansAmazing, and #AvatarTheWayOfWater until the end of February.
The 24-pan eyeshadow palette is the collection’s most impressive product, but it’s not the only one. NYX also prepared everything from a highlighter palette to blue face and body paint to lipsticks, lip glosses, highlighter sticks, and a setting spray—all vegan and cruelty-free!
Yasmin Dastmalchi, general manager of NYX Professional Makeup USA, discussed the collection with Popsugar and explained how this fictional world inspired them to dive deeper and create their Avatar-themed makeup line.
“We were incredibly inspired by the artistry in the film, the bioluminescence and vivid colors of the world of Pandora, and the strong focus on diversity. The collection is a proud representation of artistry for all, and we can’t wait for everyone to get their hands on it,” said Dastmalchi.
