]]>We all know the “I’ll read in my spare time” story too well, and it doesn’t typically end well. This method of reaching a goal doesn’t work because we often find other ways to fill our spare time such a scrolling on social media or watching Netflix. While we’re not saying you can’t do that if you want to reach your reading goals, we are saying there’s a better way.
Make reading a part of your everyday routine. If you have time in the morning, say you’ll read for at least 15 minutes before you start your day. Another great time to schedule your reading is before bed. There’s nothing better than curling into a comfy bed with a good book, so why not make it a habit and do it every night?
The key to reading more books is to make progress everyday. Whether it’s 15 minutes or an hour, you can read more books if you try. You just need the right structure in place to help you do that!

Having a cup of tea or a healthy snack, such as fruits or nuts, can also help you feel a little bit less sleepy. It’s less likely you’ll fall asleep when the book isn’t the only thing keeping you distracted.
Nothing compares to flipping through the pages of a book, but your eyes may get too tired if you’re doing it before bed. Audiobooks are worth giving a try because you’ll have an easier time concentrating on them when you’re feeling a little bit tired.
