Machine Wash
The good news is that most pillows are able to be thrown into the washing machine. Mix up a solution of washing liquid, white vinegar, laundry detergent, and dish detergent and add it to the machine. Two wash cycles are needed to remove the yellow stains and the residue of the cleaning solution, so do the second using hot water only.
Hand Wash
For pillows the that are more delicate, washing by hand is recommended. Fill a large tub with hot water and add a quarter cup of laundry detergent. If the stains are very bad, throw in a quarter cup of bleach, too. Place your pillow into the soapy water and gently knead it with your hands, being careful not to damage the fibers. Rinse the pillow under cold water to remove the residue and then gently squeeze the material to remove as much water as possible.
