]]>After scooping out the creamy flesh, don’t discard the avocado skin. Instead, use it to make a face mask that will leave your skin feeling as smooth as that avo flesh.
Cut the fruit in half and scrape out as much of the green stuff as you can. Then, place the peel in a 300°F oven for 10 minutes until it dries out and shrivels up slightly. If you have the time, let the peel dry out in the sun as this will give it an extra dose of vitamins.
You now want to put the skin into a food processor (a coffee grinder works too) and whiz it up until a fine powder forms. Run it through a sieve to separate the larger bits, and add the remaining powder to 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt. Add in 1 teaspoon of raw honey and mix it all together.
The runny mixture is filled with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Use a paintbrush to apply it to your face and leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.
Your skin will thank you.
