]]>Before you head straight for the makeup aisle, take some time to determine the ideal arch and shape for your eyebrows based on your face, using your natural brow bone as a guide. If you’re new to brow shaping, work slowly and avoid over-tweezing, or consult with a professional for pointers. Use clean, quality tweezers made of stainless steel to remove stray hairs, then go back and fill in any sparse areas with a brow pencil or powder to create a fuller, more defined look.
Symmetry is key to achieving polished eyebrows, and the best way to ensure your brows are truly symmetrical is to measure them. Use a brow pencil or brush as a tool to ensure both eyebrows are of equal length and height, placing your fingers on the shaft to mark the start and end points. Prioritize regular tweezing or threading to maintain symmetry and prevent unruly hairs from popping up.
Choose products that enhance your natural brows without overwhelming the rest of your features. Before you apply powder or filler, comb through your brows with a spoolie brush and a dab of clear gel to make sure all of the hairs are lying in the same direction. If you choose to fill your brows with makeup, choose products that match your natural hair color.

]]>Next time it snows, bundle up and head outside for an intimate winter walk through a local park. The serene atmosphere of a natural space with a blanket of fresh powder serves as a perfect backdrop for both meaningful conversation and playful connection. To warm up afterward, retreat to a nearby café, or create your own DIY-cocoa station at home.
Everything is more romantic under the stars, especially ice skating. Spend an evening at a local outdoor rink gliding around hand in hand; even if you’ve never skated before, you’re sure to have a good time moving to the music and creating shared memories. Once you’ve had your fill, refuel with some post-skating treats at a nearby food truck or restaurant.
When it’s cold outside, one of the best ways to bring some warmth to your relationship is through a couple’s cooking class. Together, you can learn how to use seasonal ingredients to prepare cozy soups, roasted veggies, and even indulgent winter-themed desserts. The experience of creating a delicious meal provides an opportunity for teamwork and bonding.

]]>We’re of the belief that when it comes to using produce as decor, apples often end up taking a back seat to pumpkins, relegated instead to filling pies and donuts. Don’t get us wrong, you’ll definitely find plenty of gourds on our tables in the coming months, but for late summer into early fall, a big bowl of apples is a subtle way to acknowledge the changing season that just so happens to double as a tasty snack.
Nothing says “cozy” quite like a candle, and fall just so happens to come with some of the best scents. Classics like apple pie and pumpkin spice are great, but if you prefer something a little less traditional, wood, citrus, and musk are all lovely options to warm up a space without making it smell like a bakery. We love this Cozy Flannel scent from Easton Candle Co.
Bringing the colors of fall inside is a simple way to pay homage to the season without going against any existing decor. Simply cut a few small branches from a tree with changing leaves and place them in a vase or pitcher filled with water. If you have any nearby, ginkgo and maple are a few especially beautiful options.

]]>Nothing says “fall” quite like a good pair of boots, and this fall is set to bring some really fun styles. So far, we’ve been seeing a lot of knee-highs as well as grungy motorcycle boots—think zippers, laces, and thick soles to boot. If you prefer simpler, more minimalist styles, you can’t go wrong with a classic pair of leather riding boots paired with a cozy sweater dress.
After a summer of Barbie-inspired hot pink everything and more mermaidcore than we knew what to do with, we have to admit that we’re somewhat relieved to see the return of a more muted color palette. Not only are colors like ivory, camel, and rich chocolate browns easier to pair with existing pieces in our wardrobes, they’re also timeless in a way that we can justify spending a bit more on higher-quality pieces made to last.
For better or worse, the defining styles of the 21st century’s second decade are in the process of making a comeback. While we’re not entirely sure how to feel about this glaring reminder of the passage of time, we are happy for the chance to pull certain pieces out of storage. After all, there was something to be said for the convenience and versatility of leather jackets, oversized bags, and skinny jeans. That said, if we ever see another wedge sneaker again, it’ll be too soon.

]]>Damaged hair needs moisture and nourishment, so opt for products formulated to strengthen hair bonds and hydrate from within. Deep conditioning treatments are an especially great way to revive thirsty locks. Once a week, swap your regular conditioner for a deep conditioning treatment to target breakage and split ends, then style with a few drops of hair oil for frizz protection and shine.
If you’re not willing to part with your length, even a minor trim can make a significant difference in keeping hair healthy and preventing further damage. Split ends will eventually travel up the hair shaft, weakening strands and contributing to further splitting. Start with trimming off half an inch or so every three months, and your hair will be healthy again in no time.
Heat styling will only make existing breakage worse, so it’s essential to give your hair a break by following a routine designed to minimize damage. Limit your usage of straighteners and curling irons to no more than once a week, and be sure to use the lowest heat setting and apply a heat protectant before use. To add body and shape without stressing your locks, you can also try using heatless curling tools.

]]>Vitamin C is a crucial ingredient for the collagen production necessary to prevent wrinkles and it can also help with evening out skin tone and lightening dark spots. Use it between your toner and moisturizer for best results. Here are some of our favorite serums.
For effective products at a reasonable price, you really can’t beat The Ordinary, and their vitamin C serum is no exception. It’s only $7 and it contains 2% hyaluronic acid to help reduce fine lines.
Minimize existing sunspots and prevent new ones from forming with this vitamin C serum containing SPF 40. It dries with a matte finish and can also be used as a makeup primer.
Citrus fruits are known for being an excellent source of vitamin C, and this serum from Korean skincare brand Goodal is full of vitamin C derived from green tangerine extract. It’s ideal for sensitive skin and can help to even out skin tone in less than two weeks.

]]>Forming new habits is notoriously challenging, but starting with small steps can make the process feel much more manageable. Begin by incorporating one or two activities into your morning routine that align with your goals—even something as simple as drinking a glass of water upon waking or making your bed. Once these habits become ingrained, gradually introduce additional practices at a pace you feel comfortable with. Eventually, your entire routine will feel like second nature.
Make it easier for yourself to maintain your morning routine by organizing your space accordingly the night before. Lay out your workout clothes, prepare a healthy breakfast, or create a dedicated workspace. Minimizing distractions, such as silencing notifications on your phone or setting it to airplane mode, can also help to get you in the flow.
Consistency is the name of the game when it comes to establishing a morning routine. Aim to wake up at the same time each day, even on weekends. To support this habit, we recommend establishing a relaxing bedtime routine, avoiding screens before bed, and creating a peaceful sleep environment. This will regulate your body’s internal clock and make it easier for you to wake up feeling ready to take on your day.

]]>Before you begin the process of assembling your vision boards, take some time to reflect on your goals and aspirations. Define what you want to achieve in different areas of your life, such as career, relationships, or health, and write down your intentions in specific, present-tense statements. This clarity will guide your image selection and enhance the power of your vision board.
Assemble a collection of images, quotes, and affirmations that resonate with the intentions you’ve set. Browse through magazines or use online platforms like Pinterest for inspiration, choosing visuals that evoke positive emotions and align with your values. Words should be empowering and motivating, capturing the essence of your desired outcomes. The more meaningful and personalized the content, the stronger the connection with your vision.
Designing an aesthetically pleasing vision board enhances its impact, as you’ll be inspired to look at what you’ve created more often. Choose a board that suits your style and living space, and arrange your words and images in a way that is visually appealing to you. You can organize them thematically, chronologically, or go by your intuition. Once you’ve finished, display your vision board in a prominent place where you will see it daily to reinforce your intentions and keep your focus sharp.

]]>Protect against damage at the source by keeping your hair covered from the sun’s harmful rays. Wear a wide-brimmed hat or use a scarf when spending time outside, and consider using a leave-in conditioner with UV protection to create a barrier against sun damage. Like sunscreen, for your hair.
A dry hair cuticle will become weak and brittle, so it’s essential to prioritize moisture retention to keep your hair healthy. Use a deep conditioning treatment once a week, and apply a leave-in conditioner after washing your hair. We also recommend avoiding excessive heat styling and opting to air-dry your hair whenever possible.
Like a sponge, your hair is absorbent and will indiscriminately soak up whatever liquid you submerge it in. To protect it from the damaging effects of chlorine and salt, thoroughly wet your hair with clean water before you go swimming. Afterward, rinse thoroughly and use a clarifying shampoo to remove any residue. Follow up with plenty of conditioner.
