]]>Damaged hair needs moisture and nourishment, so opt for products formulated to strengthen hair bonds and hydrate from within. Deep conditioning treatments are an especially great way to revive thirsty locks. Once a week, swap your regular conditioner for a deep conditioning treatment to target breakage and split ends, then style with a few drops of hair oil for frizz protection and shine.
If you’re not willing to part with your length, even a minor trim can make a significant difference in keeping hair healthy and preventing further damage. Split ends will eventually travel up the hair shaft, weakening strands and contributing to further splitting. Start with trimming off half an inch or so every three months, and your hair will be healthy again in no time.
Heat styling will only make existing breakage worse, so it’s essential to give your hair a break by following a routine designed to minimize damage. Limit your usage of straighteners and curling irons to no more than once a week, and be sure to use the lowest heat setting and apply a heat protectant before use. To add body and shape without stressing your locks, you can also try using heatless curling tools.

]]>Clean hair care brand Briogeo’s Scalp Revival line is formulated with natural ingredients such as charcoal, biotin, and tea tree oil. The collection includes products such as an exfoliating shampoo, a hydration mask, and treatment drops to help remove buildup and soothe irritated skin, leaving your hair shiny and flake-free.
This award-winning treatment is made from a blend of oils including basil leaf, baobab, and moringa. Use it weekly before shampooing to break down product build up and balance the production of sebum in the scalp.
We love a product that does double-duty. Sugar works to exfoliate the body and scalp, while coconut oil provides moisture to soothe and nourish dryness and irritation. It also smells divine – fresh and floral with just a hint of musk.

]]>Moroccanoil has two different versions of their dry shampoo specially formulated to be used with either dark or light hair colors. Both products contain rice starch to absorb oil and product buildup while a touch of argan oil leaves a smooth finish.
Amika products don’t just look good on your bathroom counter, they also work exceptionally well. We love their dry shampoo because it works well on all hair types without leaving any kind of residue behind. It’s formulated to nourish hair while leaving behind a vanilla-citrus scent.
Who knows what’s required for that post-blowout look better than Drybar? Their dry shampoo is formulated to work with all hair textures while it moisturizes to prevent hair from breaking. It’s also great for adding volume and is available in four different scents.

]]>Wash and condition your hair as normal, but before you rinse the conditioner out, run a wide-tooth comb through your hair a few times to remove all of the tangles. Comb your hair again before wrapping it in a towel.
There are plenty of products formulated to help define and smooth wavy hair on the market today, and while there are similarities, we’ve noticed that some are more up to the job than others. We especially love Briogeo’s Banana + Coconut Soft Wave Texture Spray.
Once you’ve combed your hair and applied any product, resist the urge to brush it again so as not to ruin your waves. If your waves do start to fall, evenly apply a bit more product and use your fingers to twist your hair into 1” pieces.
