]]>Start with cooked quinoa or bulgur wheat as the base. Top it with cucumbers, sun-dried tomatoes, marinated olives, feta or goat’s milk cheese, chickpeas, artichoke hearts, and fresh herbs like parsley and mint. Don’t forget a drizzle of olive oil and lemon juice.
We’re using brown rice, rather than white, as our base. Stir-fry some vegetables like bok choy, mushrooms, carrots, and snap peas. Add in some tofu or shrimp for protein, and top it off with a sesame and ginger dressing.
Not all grain bowls need to be savory. Hop on the oat train by adding sliced bananas, berries, chopped nuts almonds or walnuts, chia seeds, a drizzle of honey or maple syrup. A sprinkle of cinnamon will elevate the dish, and you can even include some peanut butter if you like.

]]>The first question you need to ask yourself is this: when you eat sweets, how much of it are you eating? If you’re eating a very minor amount, then we believe there’s nothing wrong with doing that two or three times a week. It’s really not very much in the grand scheme of things, especially if you limit it.
But if you allow yourself to binge eat sweets, then our recommendation is a tad different. If you eat a lot at once, then we’d say you should probably only do that once a week. Sweets are generally loaded with sugar, and this can be really bad for you if you do it too much.
Anything in moderation is okay, so just make sure you’re keeping your sugar-intake to a minimum.
