Summertime is festival time! When the weather is warm, it’s the best time to be out and about with fellow music lovers, enjoying the jams and the awesome vibes that come with it. With COVID-19 restrictions having eased, it means that global music festivals can once again take place. Here are three that you should definitely attend at least once.

Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is the home of dance music in Belgium. Established in 2005, the festival is held annually in Boom, Flanders and has hosted the likes of Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Avicii, and Swedish House Mafia. With ten enormous stages to choose from, we can see why around 75,000 people attend over the three weekends in July.

Glastonbury

Headlining Glastonbury is an honor that every artist aims to have on their resumé. The English festival, located in Somerset, is anything but “stiff upper lip”, catering to pop, rock, techno, and house music enthusiasts. It also hosts dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and other arts for the 200,000 attendees.

Coachella

For two weekends each September, 250,000 people flock to Indio in the Coachella Valley for the annual music and arts festival. The origins come from 1993 when Pearl Jam performed for thousands at the Empire Polo Club in Indio after refusing to perform in Los Angeles due to a dispute with Ticketmaster. These days, the who’s who feature on the bill and attendees always dress to impress!

Burning Man

A little off the beaten track, Burning Man is an experience you’ll never forget. All about art and self-expression, the festival takes place each year in the Nevada desert where a self-sustaining village is erected. Think gigantic art installations, mobile dance floors, and use of the bartering system.
