If you’re looking to make more ethical and sustainable choices in your beauty routine, Sephora has you covered. Here’s your guide to the world of vegan and cruelty-free beauty brands available at Sephora, helping you make informed decisions that are both beautiful and compassionate.

Biossance

All Biossance products are 100% vegan and don’t contain any animal-derived ingredients or by-products. None of Biossance’s ingredients, formulations, or finished products are tested on animals anywhere in the world. Their Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil is a popular choice.

Kat Von D Beauty (KVD Vegan Beauty)

KVD Beauty creates high-pigment, high-performance makeup inspired by tattoo artistry. Their makeup is 100% vegan and cruelty-free, and they are committed to becoming more and more sustainable. Their Tattoo Liner and Everlasting Liquid Lipstick are cult classics.

Milk Makeup

Even though they only became certified this year, Milk Makeup has always been 100% vegan and cruelty-free. Try their Kush High Volume Mascara or Watermelon Brightening Serum.

Too Faced

Too Faced is cruelty-free but not 100% vegan, meaning that some of their products contain animal-derived ingredients. The Better Than S– Mascara and Born This Way Foundation are standout products.

Fenty Beauty

Fenty Beauty is cruelty-free but not 100% vegan. It also does not sell its products in mainland China, where animal testing is required by law. Their Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation is a fan favorite.

If you know us, you know that we love a sustainable brand, and Girlfriend Collective has been one of our go-to’s since they launched as an activewear company in 2016. They’ve been ethically manufacturing high-quality leggings, bras, and sweats using recycled materials like water bottles and fishing nets.

This season, however, Girlfriend made the decision to branch out and create a line of eco-friendly sleepwear. The line includes tees, tanks, pants, and robes made from a blend of recycled cotton and TENCEL, a soft, lightweight fiber spun from the pulp of Eucalyptus trees.

The result is a cozy collection of pajamas that are as luxurious as they are sustainable. Like all Girlfriend pieces, the sleepwear is manufactured in a SA8000-certified factory, meaning workers are guaranteed fair wages and healthy working conditions. Unlike the brand’s activewear, the material used to create the new line is 100% biodegradable when you’re done wearing them.

The pieces are available in a variety of dreamy pastel colors and range from $38-$98, though Girlfriend does offer 25% off your first purchase. Each pajama purchase also comes with a free 30-day membership to Open, an online mindfulness studio full of movement and meditation classes to help you relax and unwind before bed. Your sleep routine is about to get a serious wakeup call.
