]]>Slugging originated from the Korean beauty community (which of course means it’s going to be amazing!). It refers to the final step of a beauty routine, when you apply a layer of a petroleum-based product over your skincare. This is only meant to be done at night-time, as it leaves your skin very sticky and shiny. The purpose of doing this is to lock in moisture while you sleep, so you wake up with super hydrated, glowy skin. In the morning, you just wash your face like normal and you’ll immediately see the effects!
Slugging is great for your skin if you suffer from dry or regular skin. It’s also really good for people who live in dry climates.
If you want to try slugging out for yourself, you can get a petroleum-based product at any drugstore. The most popular products are Vaseline and Aquaphor. If you want a lighter product, Aquaphor is better.
