Everyone’s top streaming platform has been releasing the best original shows that we keep coming back to. And this new year is no different. This January, check out these Netflix releases that are sure to keep you entertained.

Ginny & Georgia, Season 2

Everyone’s favorite mother/daughter couldn’t be better. Still, everything is far from perfect—the girls aren’t precisely on speaking terms since the last time we saw them. Creator and executive producer, Sarah Lampert said they wanted to pick up exactly where they left off—just two weeks after where last season left off.

That 90’s Show, Season 1

That 90’s Show is a spin–off reboot of that 70’s show, with the majority of the original cast from That 70’s show. The new series centers on Leia Foreman, the teenage daughter of Eric Forman and Donna Riniotti, who is staying with her grandparents, Kitty and Red Foreman for the summer of 1995.

Kaleidoscope, Season 1

Released to Netflix on 1 January, this drama series follows a master thief and his crew who attempt an epic heist. However, the most exciting thing about this series is the fact each viewer watches the series in a different order, so each person who watches the show will see it in a unique order.

The cold weather makes us want to stay inside and bundle up. If you need some entertainment to go with your cozying up, the best place to go is Netflix, especially this season. With tons of new shows and movies to binge, you’ll be set for the rest of fall and winter.

Dead to Me Season 3

Grab your wine and popcorn to watch the final season of this thrilling show. Season three is full of friendship, killings, suspense and *spoiler alter* a very sad ending to the entire series.

Falling for Christmas

Lindsay Lohan is back on our screens and taking a starring role in this year’s Christmas movie. After falling whilst skiing and losing her memory, she is taken in by a widower and his daughter for the holiday season. It promises some laughs and romance and some beautiful scenery.

One of Us is Lying Season 2

A murder mystery at a school promises a lot of drama, secrets and tension. The show continues with the main characters from the first season following a suspensful text. You’ll be the edge of your seat throughout this entire season.

1899

If you enjoy a more historical drama, then check out 1899, a film about an immigrant ship headed to New York, but has to abruptly change its course when mysterious events occur.

In our modern society, the concept of binge-watching shows is an incredibly common thing. Thanks to streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime, users can watch their favorite series for hours on end. If they so desire, they can even start the first season—and if they have a lot of time on their hands and no responsibilities—continue watching for ten seasons straight! We’ve all done something like it. The question is, are you binge-watching too much? Here’s how to know if you are.

You Stop Enjoying The Show

Oftentimes, people find themselves binging a show just for the sake of finishing the darn thing already. It becomes like a chore. Sometimes, it can even affect the way they enjoy the show. If you find yourself enjoying the show less because of your binging, that’s how you know you’ve taken it too far.

It’s Removing You From Your Real Life

Another problem with binging is that it can start to trickle into your regular life. If you find yourself losing sight of what matters in your personal life, this too can indicate that you’re definitely way too deep in the binge-watching cycle. Ultimately, moderation is key, so make sure you’ve got it under control!
